Paoli Community School Corporation values and relies upon community partnerships and volunteers to support student learning and expanded opportunities for students. Thank you for your interest in being a part of our school community team!

In addition to providing opportunities for students, PCSC is committed to providing a safe environment for students, staff and volunteers. This commitment to safety includes a moral and legal responsibility to conduct a criminal history check for all adults who will be in contact with students in the schools, on school trips and during extra-curricular activities. The policy relating to criminal history checks can be found here: POLICY 5010.

Building principals are responsible for approving all volunteers who will have direct contact with students and who will be supervised by a certified staff member at all times when they are with students. Prior to a principal's approval of a volunteer, a Volunteer Limited Criminal History application must be completed by the individual wishing to volunteer. The Office of the Superintendent will process all submitted Volunteer Limited Criminal History applications and building principals are provided an updated list of those completed.

Volunteer Criminal History checks may include a fee if randomly selected for more in-depth analysis by the Indiana State Police, Paoli Community School Corporation has no control over the random selection.

A completed Volunteer Criminal History check is valid for both schools. See the chart below detailing the time period for which it is valid. To renew a Volunteer Criminal History check which is no longer valid or will soon become invalid, simply complete and submit the Volunteer Limited Criminal History application.
